http://bottesuggpascher.physicianvacancies.com Just what happened to Los Alamos lab whistleblower Tommy Hook outside a Santa Fe topless bar?Hook, who was simply scheduled to testify before Congress this month, said he was savagely beaten by men that warned him to keep his mouth shut. But news reports advise that Hook was seen drinking and dancing just before an altercation in the parking lot away from bar that may have started when Hook nearly backed into a patron with his car.A lawyer representing one of the men involved in the fracas told the Albuquerque Journal that the dispute that nothing to apply the nuclear research laboratory. "This was an altercation in the parking lot of a topless bar, anything," attorney Doug Couleur told the newspaper. "This has nothing to do with Hook's employment, his witness status, his employment status, or any one that."Hook, 52, suffered a fractured jaw, a back injury along with other injuries in the beating early Sunday. He was published Tuesday evening, a hospital spokesman said.Jeanette McCalip, a dancer in the bar, told the Journal on Tuesday that she recognized Hook as the man who got a lap dance coming from a waitress the night of the beating. She said she saw him later beyond your club, lying on the ground. But Robert Rothstein, legal counsel representing Hook, said that his very own investigation of the incident suggested that Hook was quiet and well behaved while on the club."We've had a private investigator who interviewed the manager, the bartender and a couple security guards," Rothstein said. "All four ones confirmed that Tommy sat with the bar, he was drinking light beer, did not have any interactions with the girls who have been dancing there."Rothstein said also, he heard reports that the beating stemmed from a problem in the parking lot and possibly Hook backed his car into someone. But Rothstein declared that story hasn't been confirmed.Hook, an auditor and 15-year lab veteran, has a pending lawsuit against the University of California, which manages the Los Alamos lab, alleging whistleblower retaliation. He previously been preparing to testify prior to House Energy and Commerce Committee.Santa Fe Police Deputy Chief Eric Johnson said the beating is under investigation, and officers were wanting to determine whether the attack was related to Hook's position at the lab. FBI spokesman Bill Elwell said the company is conducting a preliminary inquiry, but thus far the case is "an attack with a private citizen."
http://gcthulin.com/pinkuggs-uk.html A California congressman who is under federal investigation for his dealings which has a defense contractor announced Thursday which he will not seek re-election.U.S. Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham made the disclosure at a hastily arranged news conference."The time has come for me to conclude the public chapter in my life," the eight-term San Diego-area Republican said, reading coming from a brief written statement. "Quite simply, at this time I may not be the strongest candidate."Cunningham didn't take questions before ducking back to a library on the California State University campus in San Marcos."What triggered Congressman Cunningham's announcement today is exactly why the American people hold Congress such low esteem," said Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee communications director Bill Burton. Cunningham has been shadowed by questions concerning his relationship with Mitchell Wade, the founder of MZM Inc., a defense firm.Wade purchased Cunningham's 3,826-square-foot house north of North park in 2003, then restore it on the market and eventually took a $700,000 loss whilst resold it a year later. In that span, home prices in North park County rose an average of nearly 25 percent. At the same time, MZM Inc. was increasing its federal contracting business.Cunningham is owned by the House Appropriations defense subcommittee and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, as both versions oversee the kind of classified intelligence work MZM does for that military. The congressman also faces questions regarding the arrangement under which she has lived on a yacht owned by Wade and moored in Washington. The congressman claims that instead of rent, he has paid at least $13,000 to hide dock fees and other expenses at the club since April 2004. Living on Wade's boat for free would violate congressional ethics rules.Cunningham has denied any wrongdoing. Under political fire, Cunningham canceled his annual appearance with a July Fourth pancake breakfast in his San Diego-area congressional district earlier this month. His spokesman said he succeeded for fear of triggering a media frenzy.Cunningham is really a former Navy "Top gun" fighter pilot and Vietnam War ace. Staunchly conservative, he fit his district well, and won his 2004 re-election with 58 percent in the vote. And despite his background like a military man, Cunningham has a practice of occasionally tearing up while speaking for the House floor if the problem is important to him.

http://fotoristo.com/uggsclearance.htm Nextel Communications Inc. has opted for a plan by federal regulators directed at ending the interference from Nextel cell phones that disrupts public safety communication systems in numerous communities, The Associated Press is familiar with. The Federal Communications Commission proposed giving Reston, Va.-based Nextel a fresh piece of broadcast spectrum in substitution for it vacating other spectrum and paying to reconfigure the airwaves it currently occupies. Two sources close to the negotiations said Nextel has agreed to a deal. The sources requested anonymity and declined to present details ahead of a planned news conference Monday by FCC Chairman Michael Powell and Nextel officials. FCC officials declined to comment. Radios employed by police, firefighters and other first responders now broadcast about the same 800-megahertz spectrum as Nextel cell phones. So, as an example, if a radio dispatch is made at 850 MHz near a Nextel cell tower broadcasting at 851 MHz, radio stations signal can be drowned out. There has been no reports that interference caused injuries or deaths, though public safety officials have said personnel are endangered any time they answer a call and cannot communicate. The FCC last July approved a plan that would require Nextel to give up spectrum in the 800 band in exchange for new valuable spectrum in the 1.9-gigahertz range, where other major wireless carriers operate. The commission had valued the spectrum being returned at about $1.6 billion, but Nextel contended it absolutely was worth more. The FCC reworked the sale in December to increase the spectrum's value to $2 billion, which would be credited toward the value Nextel would pay for the new spectrum it will receive. Nextel also offered to pay about $1.3 billion for relocating public safety groups and clearing its new airwaves. That would also be deducted from the price for your new spectrum. In the end, the company could end up paying the government $1 billion to $1.5 billion. Nextel rival Verizon Wireless had protested the FCC plan, saying it comes down to a taxpayer giveaway to Nextel. Verizon wants the 1.9-GHz spectrum to be publicly auctioned. Verizon has stated it would be willing to pay $5 billion.By Genaro C. Armas
http://www.ahlborn-kirchenorgeln.com/uggspascher.html It was Stella McCartney's first fashion show since her mother died, and father Paul McCartney was there cheering at the front row. There was a poignant note to her collection. This one was for her mother. CBS News Senior European Correspondent Tom Fenton reports."Every designer's mother is inspiration. And I'm no different from that. And my mum inspires daily of my life," she said proudly.Nature prints were an understandable tribute in her latest collection for the French fashion house Chloe. There have been musical echoes of the Beatles, and there was a sexy side also to this collection, shown at the Paris Stock Exchange."The inspiration was just summer, and the mating season, and women feeling good and looking good."Some of the numbers on the models looked great, indeed. It's the rock-chick look. The colours were soft, materials were slinky and intensely low cut. Everything was delicate, fragile, and romantic.Critics generally liked the show. Stella McCartney was contacting a new generation as well.
